President Putin to Build Eritrea’s Military Capability

November 24, 2014–Ambassador Petros Tsegai, appointed by Eritrean President Isayas Afwerki as Ambassador to the Russian Federation, presented his credentials to President Putin. Geeskaafrika reports that President Putin noted that Eritrea and Russia share similar views on regional and international issues. Putin, said Geeskaafrika, further indicated readiness to strengthen relations in trade, build military capability and economic development and to create a navy Russian fleet in the Red Sea to protect its interests.
